If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you must know about my passion for the Scottish band Biffy Clyro… Their latest album Opposites had been released in 2013 and after a world tour and 3 exceptional concerts/nights late 2014 in Glasgow recounting their whole discography, no more updates… until their New Year’s Eve concert in Edimbourg when they sang their new song “On a bang” in the middle of their set list, which announced a long-awaited new album release. And that’s it, yesterday we got a glimpse of this new album called Ellipsis with the song “Wolves of winter”, released as a preview showing on Apple music Beats 1 radio… And how is it?

My positive points for 2015 (and for everyone else I think) fit in 140 characters on Twitter, but fortunately, the year hasn’t be dark on all matters, because we got some great musical releases… So, instead of going on about that cr*ppy year, here is my top 10 albums of 2015 that I’ve loved the most and that took my mind off things. I hope you will find new discoveries for you !

OK, it was time for me to come back around here. I had managed to put some words on the social medias about the November 13 events, but I couldn’t come back here straight after and talk about shoes, lipsticks, or even about the attacks themselves. Today, I think we all need to take our minds off things, so the looks are back this week on the blog, but I wanted to start by talking about music, because music makes people alive, happy, and because no one will manage to prevent us from listening to music, to go to concerts. So here it is, a small post with my top 5 (and more) bands, the ones that made me who I am today, and that have been with me, kind of like a background soundtrack.

In any case, let’s fix that right now, because bands are getting busier on this end of the year, I’ve actually been in London since Friday, for 8 days of concerts and tonight, I’m going to see Editors live, they released their new album In Dream, and I’m going to tell you all about it !
