Ça faisait longtemps qu’on avait pas parlé musique par ici non ? Dans tous les cas, on va remédier à ça dès aujourd’hui car l’activité des groupes reprend à pleine allure en cette fin d’année, je suis d’ailleurs à Londres depuis vendredi pour 8 jours de concerts et ce soir, je file voir Editors qui a sorti le 2 octobre dernier son album In Dream dont je vais vous parler !

Il y a peu de groupes dont j’attends un nouvel album comme le messie, Editors en fait partie… J’ai découvert ce groupe il y a environ 4 ans avec l’album An end has a start et ils m’a tout de suite envouté. Ce groupe a un son différent de tout ce qu’on entend aujourd’hui, il est électrique, rock et même légèrement rétro 80, limite new wave.

Le nouvel album In dream ne déroge pas à la règle, il est beau, aérien, la voix de Tom Smith arrive à nous transporter je ne sais trop où… Mention spéciale pour le vinyl marbré et doré, assorti à la pochette, une petite beauté que j’ai hâte de faire tourner !

Pour le moment, étant en vadrouille, j’écoute l’album sur Spotify et après quelques heures d’écoute, je peux dire que ma préférée de l’album est Marching order, sûrement parce qu’elle est dans la veine de ce que le groupe fait habituellement ! Le reste de l’album est beaucoup plus mélancolique, peut-être un peu trop ? Quoi que pas mal d’autres chansons me donnent envie de remuer quand je les entends… J’attends de voir ce que ça donnera en live, ils ne m’ont pas encore pas déçu sur scène pour le moment et certaines chansons comme Ocean of night arriveront sûrement à nous faire danser !

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about music here, right ? In any case, let’s fix that right now, because bands are getting busier on this end of the year, I’ve actually been in London since Friday, for 8 days of concerts and tonight, I’m going to see Editors live, they released their new album In Dream, and I’m going to tell you all about it !

There are only a few bands whose album release I wait for like the messiah, and Editors is one of them… I discovered this band approximately 4 years ago with the album An end has a start and it charmed me straight away. This band produces a different sound from all you can hear nowadays, it’s electric, rock, and even slightly 80s retro, almost new wave.

The new album In dream stays in the same direction, it’s beautiful, aerial, Tom Smith’s voice transports the listeners God knows where… Special shoutout to the marbled and golden vinyl, matching the jacket, a beauty I can’t wait to put on my turn table !

Right now, because I’m out and about, I listen to the album on Spotify and after a few hours of listening, I can tell you that my favourite track from the album is Marching order, probably because it’s exactly in the band’s style ! The rest of the album is much more melancholic, maybe too much ? Although a lot of the tracks makes me want to swing when I hear them… I’m waiting to see how it’s going to be live, they have yet to disappoint me live, and some tracks, like Ocean of night will probably make us danse !
